TOUR DAY BY DAY

Day 1 – "The Little Venice"

Begin a day with the fancy italian coffee in the main square of the historic town Trieste. Cross the border to Slovenia and visit the Moon Bay, the beach with the bluest water and whitest rocks, under the big cliff of Strunjan’s Natural Park. Indulge yourself to the stories of Venetians in the charming small Piran, also called “The Little Venice”. Charming just like Venice, but much less crowded.

Day 2 – Peaceful Salina Natural Park

After a wonderful morning spent in Piran, bike through the summer seaside tourist resort Portorož and know the traditional way of harvesting salt in Sečovlje Salina Natural Park. Enjoy the peaceful marine spa and listen to the voice of seagulls before paddling up for the breathtaking views over the Gulf of Piran. Bike to the inlands, learn about the Istrian culture and visit Grožnjan, the lively town of artists.

Day 3 – Spectacular Istrian cuisine

From the gorgeous Grožnjan bike to the marvelous Motovun and find the Venetian Winged Lions on the numerous walls. If you are lucky, there is one of the cultural festivals going on right now! Treat your taste buds to the spectacular Istrian cuisine and do not forget to stop in the small taverns for a glass of the Istrian wine. Enjoy the ride through the green vineyards and visit small churches on the way to learn about the Istrian religious life.

Day 4 – Holiday spa of the Ancient Romans

Wake up with the smell of sea-salt in your nose again. Visit the cute little towns of the Croatian coast, full of details left by the Ancient Romans. Get impressed by the white ancient walls, narrow ancient streets and always sunny weather! Look at the beautiful marinas and paddle the three kilometers long promenade. Did you know that the rich people of Roma were once coming to these towns for their luxurious holidays?

Day 5 – Panoramic view!

Spend the day in the peaceful valley of Dragonja, the transboundary river that separates Croatia from Slovenia. Bike right on the border along the river and get fresh in its fresh pools. Test your fitness and bike up to the cute inland villages for the most unique views in the world. You would see three countries, green vineyards of the Istrian hills, blue Adriatic and the highest rocky mountains of Julian Alps at the back – the best panoramic photo!

Day 6 – "Nasvidenje!" to Koper

After last breakfast, we'll have time to discover the Natural reserve of Skocjanski zatok. Surrounded by hundreds of birds, admire the famous Istrian bull named "boskarin" and the old breed of Camargue horses coming from France. And before we say slovenian "nasvidenje",  enjoy a cup of coffee on a patio of the Venetian Loggia palace, in the Koper's old town.
