TOUR DAY BY DAY
Day 1 – Magnificent views from the Karst Edge
Start your tour from the historic old town of Koper and bike to the green estate of Škocjan Natural Reserve for some birdwatching! Paddle to the inland and enjoy the butique villages, built under the majestic walls of the Karst Plateu. Learn about the culture and religion of local people and visit the beaufitul rock-shelters of Socerga.
Day 2 – Stories from the seabed
Fill your lungs with the healthy mediteranean air and rest your eyes on the blue Adriatic sea. Indulge yourself to mysterious stories about the huge ship, lying under the Gulf of Koper since the Second World War. Visit the charming small Piran, also called “The Little Venice” and listen to the seagulls cry from the salt pans of Strunjan.
Day 3 – Castles and towers on the Karst cliffs
Bike up to the oldest village in Slovenia called Osp, lying under the stunning cliffs. Visit the Slovenian famous climbing area and enjoy the Old Castle rock of Črni Kal. Push the church belfry of Črni Kal and get the picture of a “leaning belfry”. After some great paddling, rest your eyes on the Gulf of Trieste from the marvelous Socerb Castle.
Day 4 – Great flavors of Istrian olive oil
Treat yourself with the exquisite drops of Istrian olive oil and have a glass of wine with the kindhearted locals. Learn about the rich history of the oil and salt harvesting by visiting Tonina House and the peaceful salt pans of Sečovlje Salina Park. Spend your afternoon cycling along the river Dragonja and stretch your legs in its fresh pools.
Day 5 – The seashells graveyard and stunning views
Take the coastline road and paddle through the green estate of camp Adria. Discover the “Pokopališče školjk” (eng. seashells cemetery), the long beach of dead seashells in the outskirts. Visit the health holiday resort Debeli Rtic just on the border with Italy and feel the real spirit of vacation. Test your strength and gain the best reward of an adventurer – stunning views on the endless blue Adriatic, embraced by the three countries.
Day 6 – Tiny Izola and the seagull's goodbye
Take a short last paddling to Izola, a little old town and, lots of people say, also the perfect place to live. Small shops with local goods offer the last chances to bring your friends some traditional souvenirs. After some shopping and before we say goodbye to the seagulls, spend a moment in one of the coffee shops, sitting just next to the sea and the small fishing boats.
